European Fertilizer Manufacturers Association (EFMA)

"EFMA represents the major fertilizer manufacturers in Western Europe. Its members account for approximately 90 per cent of the region's nitrogen fertilizer production capacity and around 70 per cent of phosphate fertilizer production. The issues that the industry devotes its attention to may be matters that have prompted concern within the industry itself (related, for example, to its competitiveness, its profitability or even its existence); they may, on the other hand, have arisen in other sectors of society in connection with the production or use of fertilizers.
When EFMA was established, on 1 January 1988, as a merger of APEA, CEA and CMC Engrais, it had three classes of membership and forty members. It now has four classes of membership and thirty-six members."
